The JURA descales with use and automatically requires descaling. The degree of scaling depends on the hardness of your water.
If you are using a CLARIS Pro Smart filter cartridge, no descaling prompt appears.
The descaling program takes about 40 minutes.
JURA descaling tablets are available from Cafés Van Hove.
Descaling the machine
Condition: "Descale device" is shown on the display.
- Press the
(red Maintenance symbol). "Descaling - Press the "Start" button.
- Press the "Next" button . " Empty drip tray " button.
- Empty the drip tray and coffee grounds container, then replace them. Click on "Add product".
- Remove the water tank and empty it.
- Completely dissolve 3 JURA descaling tablets in a container of 500 ml water. This may take a few minutes.
- Fill the empty water tank with the solution and replace it. "Turn to open
- Place a container under the hot water nozzle.
- Open the selector to position
"Descale machinewater flows repeatedly from the hot water nozzle. The operation stops, "Turn to close. - Close the selector in position
- If you select "Descale machine", the descaling cycle continues. The operation stops, "Empty drip tray".
- Empty the drip tray and coffee grounds container, then replace them. "Fill water tank
- Empty the container and place it under the hot water nozzle and coffee spout.
- Remove the water tank and rinse thoroughly.
- Fill the water tank with fresh water and replace it. "Turn to open
- Open the selector to position "Descale machinethe descaling cycle continues. The operation stops, "Turn to close.
- Close the selector in position "Descale machineThe descaling cycle continues. Water flows from the coffee spout. "Machine rinse The operation stops "Empty the drip tray".
- Empty the drip tray and coffee grounds container, then replace them. Descaling is now complete.
If the descaling program is interrupted unexpectedly,
rinse the water tank thoroughly.
