The GIGA descales as it is used, and automatically requires descaling. The degree of scaling depends on the hardness of your water.
If you are using a CLARIS Pro Smart+ filter cartridge, no descaling prompt appears.
Interrupting the descaling program may result in damage to the machine.
The descaling program takes approximately 45 minutes. Descale until the end of the program.
JURA descaling tablets are available from Cafés Van Hove .
Descaling the machine
Condition: "Descale" is displayed in the Cockpit.

Press " Descale".

Press "Start". "Empty drip tray / Empty coffee grounds container

Empty the drip tray and coffee grounds container, then replace them. " Descaling agent in water tank

Remove the water tank and empty it.

Dissolve 3 JURA descaling tablets in a container of 600 ml water. This may take a few minutes.

Fill the empty water tank with the solution and replace it.

Place a container under the combination drain and the hot water drain.

Press "Next". In the "Descale machine" mode, water flows several times directly into the drip tray from the hot water outlet and the combination outlet. "Empty drip tray" / "Empty coffee grounds container".

Empty the drip tray and coffee grounds container, then replace them. "Rinse water tank / Fill water tank

Empty the container and replace it under the combination drain and hot water drain.

Remove the water tank and rinse thoroughly.

Fill the water tank with fresh water and replace it.

Press "Next". Water flows several times, directly into the drip tray, from the hot water outlet and the combination outlet. "Empty drip tray" / "Empty coffee grounds container".

The home screen appears.
Note: If the descaling program is interrupted unexpectedly, rinse the water tank thoroughly.
